CITADEL INTRODUCES DEEP-REVEAL ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
Jul 21, 2010
Citadel Architectural Products, Inc. has introduced Envelope 2000® D-RV, a deep-reveal attachment system that combines aspects of both shop-fabricated and field-assembled methods to be utilized with its Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM). The new D-RV system offers a versatile fabricated look using a labor and cost saving field-assembled installation method.
“We view the D-RV system as somewhat of a ‘hybrid’ between a barrier system and a rainscreen principle system,” according to Sean Walker, marketing manager. “The panels are sealed into place like our other barrier systems. However, the free floating accent strips and the weep holes within the extrusion system allow any incidental moisture to exit the wall cavity, like a rainscreen principle system.”
In addition, the Envelope 2000® D-RV system can be installed in a variety of configurations that provides a number of aesthetic options for the designer. Some of these options include complementary-colored or contrasting accent strips; variable-width joints to match with other visual lines within the elevation; and a variable-depth checkerboard pattern that creates a distinct ‘texture’ on the wall. “We are excited about this addition to our Envelope 2000® product family,” Walker said. “While the current attachment methods for this panel include two shop-fabricated systems and one other field-assembled system, the D-RV system rounds out a solid offering of solutions for a variety of applications, budgets and design concerns.”
