The International Organization For Standardization
(ISO) is a network of standards
institutes from nearly 150 countries. These
non-governmental agencies serve as
bridging organizations to develop solutions that
benefit both industry and the consumer.
In part, this is achieved by providing a reference
framework (or standards) for the
quality of both products and services.
|
|
More specifically, the
ISO 9001:2000 standard is geared toward developing
reliable quality management systems in business to
business dealings. It maintains that the
processes and procedures within an organization be
identified, controlled, followed, and continually
improved. Simply put, this standard is a
system of 'self monitoring' designed to increase
quality conformance within an organization. |

QUALITY STATEMENT
"Every Employee Is Responsible To
Understand And Continually Improve
Our Quality System And Ensure That Our
Products And Services Meet Or Exceed
Our Customer Needs." |
|
|

The effort to achieve certification began
with the implementation of CIP
in 2000. This
philosophy is based upon the establishment of teams including:
natural
work units,
cross-functional groups, and those formed to achieve certain
strategic objectives.
Nearly 20 teams were initially formed
including: those to improve on-time
delivery,
our customer satisfaction rating, and
material inventory and storage.

 |
Determining the conformity of a product or process
mean
developing an internal
system of measuring those items specified
by the
standard set forth. This may
involve testing, documentation,
or simply
observation.
This voluntary commitment made by an organization is a substantial undertaking
in developing, maintaining,
and improving a total
management system. It is an
effort to adhere
to specifications and standards
developed by international
consensus for proper business practice. |

As we monitor, measure, and strive to improve upon
